Who Are We?
Oceanic Communications was formed in 2007 as a joint venture between Oceanic Holdings International Limited and Facey Commodity, with a goal of bringing better mobile phone and communication services to the people of the South Pacific. Our complementary strengths and unmatched knowledge of the region allow for a unique approach to distribution, logistics and sales in this challenging but rewarding environment.
Established in early 2007, Samoa became our first base of operations and was closely followed by Papua New Guinea. In 2008 expansion was rapid with Tonga and Vanuatu early in the year followed by Fiji at the start of October. 2009 brought further challenges with rollout of the Electronic Voucher Distribution platform into all exisiting markets, and the opening of our operations, supporting 2Degrees, in Auckland. In late 2010 Oceanic Communications launched Electronic Voucher Distribution in the Cook Islands for Telecom Cook Islands.
